Richard Glassett is a 70-year-old male who was set to marry the love of his life. After 20 plus years of raising their family together, he decided to make their marriage official. Unfortunately, due to his condition, it is very painful for him to walk around let alone stand for long periods of time.
Richard’s physical therapist had him reached out to Project MEND with the hopes we would be able to provide a way for him to make this special day possible. Thanks to a large donation of wheelchairs from American Wheelchairs, we were able to give him a wheelchair as well as a walker. After receiving his wheelchair, he was able to enjoy a beautiful evening wedding in front of the Alamo with friends and family.
Now Richard can move about the house more freely with the help of his walker and is better able to get to his doctor appointments.
